particular store or two ... after living with hoarding ... it is coming across the way some buy on seeing an offer ... as we go about selecting our purchases side by side.
Mass Purchases ...
Yet again today, while I was looking at an array of household cleaning products that were on a really good offer or few ... a fellow shopper was filling up several baskets with many of the same products ... virtually clearing the shelf of the products ... my mind thinking many reasons from an observational point of few of the obvious to the not so ... and in storing them I am hoping they have a huge store area ... or I dread to think of the other buying habits and where they are put ... especially the flammable items ...
On most occasions when I am in this store I find fellow shoppers are filling up baskets to over flowing ... with the same product ... some literally grabbing armfuls ...
I am very critical the impact of consumerism and parting with money on some things that are not always necessary. For me it can add to an overwhelming array in the cupboard, that I am trying to reduce ... at home ...
Pros for bulk buys
- Saves money (if used)
- If you live out in the woods and can get cut off in bad weather
- A business ... products are not always cheaper at a wholesaler
Cons for bulk buys
- Waste of money if not used
- Safety in storing large quantities of chemicals etc
- Clutters up space if you do not have it
- Or cannot cope in putting away quantities of products because you are at odds with those you live with, thinking they got the bargain of the century ...
